Could you please introduce yourself and tell us how you get started in your career?

I am a teacher and an entrepreneur, running my own online venture, “Dreams by Sarwat”. It is an inspired business by my own passion for styling and jewelry. This started during COVID-19, 2020. As a result of the pandemic, I had to conduct my teaching classes virtually. Besides, I managed my online jewelry store and now I have an outlet in Karachi.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

The word Business though runs in my blood as I am an MBA in finance and both the closest Men Father and Husband are in the business sector. Apart, the success stories of women entrepreneurs have always been inspirational for me. So I started my venture on a very small scale, which blessed me to turn it into not only an online brand but also my own brand outlet.

What challenges did you face while setting up your entrepreneurial career and how did you overcome
them?

In the same way as any startup, my brand and I face a number of challenges, first of all, it’s the time of epidemic Covid-19 that convinces buyers to purchase at minimum prices due to inflation in economies. Another major challenge was managing customer mindsets and budgets. Alhamdulillah, I overcame it with the support of my family and by using the most famous quotation. Try and Try Again!

What is the biggest achievement of your entrepreneurial career?

My Biggest achievement in this journey is my potential clientele and my brand credibility, to add on I am honored and really feel pleasured to write that my venture has given many midwives the platform to have startups.

Who has been your greatest inspiration?

Both my husband and mother have been my biggest inspirations in those times, encouraging, willing, and even helping me overcome my own fears
of failure.

Which aspect of your professional life do you enjoy most as an entrepreneur?

The best feature of this whole entrepreneurship is the one to lead our team, enjoy success and treat failure together. But the most is THE APPRECIATION which falls to your name by your market.

As an entrepreneur, what is the greatest lesson you have learned?

As such there is no specific lesson but yes in these couple of years, I concluded that it is really important and difficult at the same time to read our mass market behavior so one has to be calm and patient with full positive energy throughout.

Share your opinion about learning and growth.

I guess universally it follows the same standard, that learning and growth is continuous tense. As much as you learn from your smallest achievement or your bitterest failure you grow eventually.

Please share any advice you would like to give to women entrepreneurs.

The Best I can share as per my experiences, keep taking risks in your life, calculated or sometimes even uncalculated, and believing in yourself is the key to success or growth.

Where do you see yourself in the next three years?

Fortunately, I see myself as a successful woman entrepreneur, who may not inspire but can be a privation for women or girls who want to be part of bread runner standards and upgrade themselves for their future lives. More can see other brands approaching me for their portfolio buildup.
